APPRECIATION My tribute
to these favourite artists
|
My Aunt Margaret! How do I begin.......? I grew
up with her and we are still living together. We are inseparable!
She's a classical pianist, a performer, and an excellent, honourable
tutor. I began my first piano lesson with her at the age of five. So
for many years, she endured my playful attitude together with my
naughty, mischievous behaviour. As to put up with my laziness, she
rewarded me with 10 cents of snack money for each hour of my
practice, so that I wouldn't give up playing the piano! She's the
first person to thank for my music career! And she's much much more!
All my life, she's given me unconditional support, teaching me how
to be a better person! She thinks little for herself, always being
thoughtful and giving. She's a small lady with a big heart and a
sophisticated mind! To me, Auntie Margaret is a parent, a teacher
and my closest buddy! |

Chris Babida |
One of the best
keyboardist/composer/arrangers in the music world. Someone I admire
and look up to endlessly! I was given an opportunity through Miss
Yeelina Chu, entertainment director of Ocean City night club, Hong
Kong, to work for Chris in 1984. The acquaintance had changed my
life since then. His offer and honorable recognition of me had
strengthened my self confidence in music for my entire life!

Ead Sirmwate |
Keyboardist of the Royal
Sprites, the famous Thai band of the Century. A talented musician, a
great singer, an artist filled with love and enthusiasm for life,
forever young and noble at heart! A superstar! We met during my
performance in International Club, Bangkok. It was "love at first
sight" for both of us, puppy love style! The memorable time Ead had
given me during my short stay had inspired my true belief and
fondness of pure innocent love between one another and also
comprehended the true beauty in romantic love in years to come.

Bennett Fung |
Best friend,
spiritual love for life! A soulful guitarist who plays from his
deepest core. A guitarist I admired from the first glance (Repulse
Bay, Hong Kong). He's one of the coolest men of profound,
distinctive character I've ever encountered! Bennett has been a
famous song writer and he was the producer of CBS Sony and Epic
recording companies for over 10 years. We played music together
during an age of innocence. His inspirational guitar sound had
influenced me since, and his endearing friendship had warmed me
through years and years of hardship in the past!

David Young |
A legendary
guitarist in Hong Kong music history! A peacemaker, a poor artist,
an eccentric pervert at times, a true music lover who dedicated his
body and soul to just music alone. He gave a stunning performance
every time he picked up his guitar and everyone in the room felt
breathless. Six Chinese words to describe his playing:
! Playing music with
David had opened me up! It was like how people described the first
big step achievement of Chinese "Chi Gung".
David left us in the early 90s,
his spirit lives on! |

Sound
Technicians They play the
most important role behind the scenes. At a big show, we have
absolutely no control over our sound while we are on stage. It's a
matter of how these sound engineers connect the wires, push the
buttons and work the mixers. My big salute to these wonderful
technicians who provided us great sound effects in many successful
shows! |
