Alice learned to play the piano at the age of five. She attended St. Paul's Convent School in Hong Kong. She became a professional musician after her high school years and went on tour singing all over Southeast Asia. At the age of 19, she formed a combo band of her own and performed at Central "Mocambo" night club, becoming the youngest female bandleader in Hong Kong.
Later, Alice was given a contract to perform in Canada and the U.S. where she settled down in San Francisco and formed her band, "Wave". She has always picked talented musicians to play in her band. Therefore, over the years the "Wave" has built up a reputation for good music.
Her band plays a variety of music including Latin, Big Band, Jazz, Rock, Techno as well as music from the 1940's to today's top hits. Alice can sing in multiple languages including English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, plus a bit of French and Tagalog.
Her band has been actively participating in weddings, anniversaries, company receptions, charity shows, political fundraising, Chamber of Commerce and City Council street fairs, casinos in Las Vegas, Reno, Atlantic City, etc.
Alice has been the music director for the annual "Silver Legacy Thanksgiving show" in Reno five years in a row. She also performed solo at the Lord of Balls lounge, Radisson Miyako Hotel, San Francisco, for a period of one year, then performed regularly with her band Wave at the Tonga Room, Fairmont Hotel, San Francisco in 2003, and recently she is singing for Meriwa restaurant's ballroom nights every Monday, Thursday and Friday.
